This getaway is a converted 18th-century rural chapel set in the outstanding countryside, a romantic place to stay for two with six hundred square feet of floor space and a large kitchen. The striking main living space is in the old chapel, with a pair of arches and thirteen feet high pitched ceilings.

In the living area there are two comfortable loveseats, a writing desk, bookshelves and a wood stove for chillier days (wood is provided). The chapel is attached to the hosts' own house but walls over a meter thick assure good sound insulation. The bedroom features a queen bed with en suite bathroom. Guests may use the washing machine located in the main house. The kitchen includes utensils, dishes and a nice gas stove.

On fine days, instead of using the dining area, open the half-glazed French doors and dine on the large, private terrace. This terrace overlooks the vegetable garden and beautiful rolling hills.

A walk through the alpine flowers in the upland meadows, a swim in high summer in the rock pools of Cagli’s two rivers, and a visit to the late autumn truffle fair in Acqualagna are among the attractions that give this area its particular fascination.
