Driving into the cottage sets the stage for a quiet relaxing family vacation. This lovely 5 bedroom cottage on Muldrew Lake is just 15 minutes outside of Gravenhurst, Home of the Steam Ships RMS Segwun and Wenonah II.
Although there are no motor restrictions on Muldrew Lake, it is still a wonderfully quiet lake, which affords you a paddle in the canoe or paddleboat. The property behind the cottage is flat and grassy and makes an ideal spot for the kids to play.
The interior of the cottage is finished in wood, floor to ceiling, and is very cozy. The exposure is North East providing excellent natural light through the large windows. The kitchen and dining area comfortably seats 10. The kitchen has everything you need.
The living area has two patio doors leading outside to a large wraparound deck; this large deck just off the living area provides a great spot for outdoor dining while enjoying the fantastic view of the lake. Access to the lake front is provided by taking the path, where the dock extends out about 20 feet, water depth at the end of the dock is about 10 feet, there is also a swim raft, making it perfect for the kids to splash around. And as an added bonus there is a 32 foot deck at the water’s edge, overlooking the lake.
It's open concept with beautiful knotty pine walls, with a wall to wall patio door along the front, providing a fabulous view. The furnishings are very comfortable and it's easy to get settled and want to stay there - if it just wasn't for the glorious sunshine and the beckoning waterfront! And in the fall, the air tight wood stove takes the chill out of the cooler days.
There are 5 bedrooms, 3 containing double beds and 1 with bunks (single on the bottom, single on the top); the Master having a queen and the bathroom is a 4-piece.
